This was made for my fiery 7-year-old nephew, Nicholas. Everything on this cake is edible: This is a three-layer chocolate cake, covered with vanilla buttercream and yellow-gold fondant. The detailed toy figure was hand-made using sugar paste. The “flames” were created using sugar caramel. The cake base is made out of candy melts that were molded into the shape of toy blocks.
